Shouldn't this bother anyone?

I'm not sure if this story got any national attention, but it should have. Last week the St Louis school district lost their accreditation due an ongoing budget crisis. Why isn't this a bigger story? I have never been to St.Louis and I don't have kids but this bothers me. I'm not sure what the racial make-up of the school district is but I think that I can make the safe assumption that's majority African American. So why aren't the so called leaders discussing or protesting the loss of accreditation? These are our kids. This potentially impacts their ability to attend higher education and the response has been silence so far. Isn't Nelly so proud to be from "The Lou", so why isn't he speaking out, it's his home town. Maybe he has more credit cards to swipe down girl's booties and can't be bothered. Oprah isn't that far removed from St. Louis why isn't she doing a show to bring attention to our educational crisis here. No she would rather spend her money in South Africa because we don't value education in this country. Al and Jesse are probably too busy protesting Cracker Barrel on behalf of Chris Rock's mom to be concerned. Well I know there isn't much I can do but bring the story to anyone who will listen. Hopefully someone will stumble across my ramblings and keep talking about it maybe then we can get come up with solution, because if it can happen in St. Louis, it can happen anywhere.
